This design emulated the historical inspiration of the tapestry "The Hunt for Unicorn" through heavy amounts of embroidery on the coat which draws from flowers seen on the millefleur background of the tapestry. Each flower embroidered is a representation of one in the tapestry, and the use of navy wool reflects the navy-blue background in the artwork. The 3D flowers on the accentuated hips add dimension to the design and catch the eye due to the beads. The pomegranate tree as seen in tapestry is demonstrated at the back of the coat as well as on the cuffs. Furthermore, the tapestry is seen on the lining of the coat due to sublimation printing. The mandarin collar draws from the cultural tradition men's suit of the Chinese called the Tang Zhuang. Furthermore. the symmetrical opening and use of frog closures are heavily inspired by this cultural suit and coincide with the overall symmetrical design of the outfit. The pleated mini skirt demonstrates the pleating style inspired by the Burel Factory called Favos pleats, which show diamond-shaped pleated sections at the top. The Favos-inspired pleats cascade into the accordion pleats of the skirt which elongates the body while also drawing the eye up the details of the coat.
