The textile item includes three garments, a double-breasted suit jacket, suit pants and a bow tie. Sources of inspiration stem from Gucci, a 16th-century Renaissance era, power dressing, and Sofia Coppola Marie. The suit jacket and pants work to reflect elements of the 16th century and Sofia Coppola Marie Antionette by using luxurious pink brocade fabric with contrasting details from beading to embroidery, these design elements complement the inspiration of power dressing and Gucci specifically the structured lapel and shoulder pads. The jacket is made from a 100% polyester blend with polyester satin used for the lining. The jacket will also have a contrasting pinstripe brocade fabric on the cuff and a nylon crystal organza blend frill attached to the cuff. The pants are made from a pink polyester brocade blend and lined with Bemsilk. The bowtie is made from two layers of pink organza fabric. A striped brocade band. wraps around the centre of the bowtie where it is hand gathered and held in placed. A collar band connects to the bowtie and is secured by a skirt hook and eye clasp, ensuring ease of wear. The double-breasted jacket adds both weather protection and a refined touch, suitable for formal occasions, embodying elegance and sophistication. Keeping the pale pink rich with floral motifs brocade fabric keeps the idea of femininity yet keeps the inspiration of power dressing through the stricture of the jacket. The pink of the suit transforms the suit from a traditional to a feminine style while still having a powerful structure. This reflects the power dressing structure of Marie Antoinette. The decorative/innovative features of beads, embroidery and frill on the cuff represent the decorative sleeves worn in the 16th century. The proportion of the jacket and pants flatter the figure along with the fitted waist of the jacket and boot pants.
