"The white satin bound edges that line the top and lower edges of the corset component perform the function of seamlessly connecting each of the corset panels to the lining, creating a cohesive design while the binding’s soft texture provides comfort when the corset is worn."
"Different printing techniques feature prominently in my design. The mannequin incorporates wood-block printing to create an aesthetic similar to vintage Women’s Rights Movement newspaper articles. Inkjet printed signs were created and appliquéd onto the corset. Stencil printed, purple and green roses add colour and texture."
Select Student Folio Pages
The pages selected for each project reflect the individual students' interpretations of the syllabus guidelines for the MTP. Each student should develop their folio according to the guidelines, relating to their own individual project. This may result in a variety of presentation styles, numbers of sketches and/or experiments.
