Images of Work
"Using historical guidance, the evolving self-drafted patterns and with the construction of my garment, the evidence of historical accuracy and appeal of my costume to the original Sherlock Holmes character was realised. I thoroughly researched into Victorian women’s fashion and applied my own creativity to successfully transpose this into a female costume."
"By using sublimation printing I was able to add a creative contemporary flair by incorporating a collage of Sherlockian motifs with the deerstalker hat lining and, as appliqué inside the capelet. Original illustrations from ‘The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes’ book have been integrated into the skirt hem patchwork."
Select Student Folio Pages
The pages selected for each project reflect the individual students' interpretations of the syllabus guidelines for the MTP. Each student should develop their folio according to the guidelines, relating to their own individual project. This may result in a variety of presentation styles, numbers of sketches and/or experiments.
