Images of Work
"The manufacturing of the peplum flare was a significant feature contributing to the success of my textile garment. This was an important decision in the selection of interfacing which was a crucial part of the flare, as the weight and colour had to emphasise the shape of the garment and enable it to lift and give a structured look. A white, medium weight interfacing was selected. The gathering around the peplum was extremely important as it had to create a sense of flow and harmony to the garment enhancing the shape of my tailored jacket."
"The surface decoration of the embroidery on the pointed cuff significantly contributed to the success of the textile garment. This transformed the stylishness and intricacy of the tailored suit, it had detailed movements on the cuff that gives visual interest, flow and harmony to the jacket. The contrast of the colours created depth texture and amplified uniqueness that allowed the garment to display a powerful, sophisticated and elegant appeal. The pointed cuffs are filled with different techniques of embroidery which include straight stitch, French knots, chain stitch and running stitch."
Select Student Folio Pages
The pages selected for each project reflect the individual students' interpretations of the syllabus guidelines for the MTP. Each student should develop their folio according to the guidelines, relating to their own individual project. This may result in a variety of presentation styles, numbers of sketches and/or experiments.
