Images of Work
"The exaggerated use of boning creates a visually intriguing aspect on the costume and allows for manipulation of the body, making the waist seem smaller while the hips and breasts appear larger, fulfilling societal expectations of the time. The corsetry of the bodice displays the wealth and couture status of the costume whilst the burgundy velvet creates an aesthetic feature."
"The use of appliquéd flower and leaf motifs along the edges of the skirt and cape have created an aesthetic feature. Using gold lace and burgundy velvet fabric embellishments have created a prominent royal theme throughout the ensemble."
Select Student Folio Pages
The pages selected for each project reflect the individual students' interpretations of the syllabus guidelines for the MTP. Each student should develop their folio according to the guidelines, relating to their own individual project. This may result in a variety of presentation styles, numbers of sketches and/or experiments.
